AFSC Recreation League Schedule

Our Recreational Program developed out of our developmental academy. Our developmental academy is run by our professional coaches. The numbers continued to grow and we decided to change the format to include a Recreational League. With our current numbers – we are going to revert back to the old format – due to the feedback we have received.

Here is how we will run the Developmental Academy/Recreational League this Spring Season.

We will offer 2 days per week to practice – each player can choose which day he attends practice with a professional coach. A player may choose to attend only one session per week or both sessions. You may choose to attend Tuesday one week and Thursday the next week. This will allow up the most flexibility and your child can play as much as they desire. Also – please coordinate with your friends so that friends can show up together.

Practice times are at:

· Tuesday's @ 5:00pm to 6:00pm

· Thursday's @ 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Game times are at:

- Saturday's @ 8:30 to 9:30am

These practice sessions will be run by professional staff coaches. For those parents that wanted to volunteer as coaches will be able to assist the professional staff. We will go back to a curriculum that will advance the kids through a series of soccer drills that build on each other.

On Saturday Games Days, will have all the kids show up and mix them up every Saturday to play small sided games. They will bring both uniforms and we will set up balanced teams. All kids will play with each other. This is what we did in the past and had a very successful academy program. We have gotten the feedback that the Recreational League satisfaction totally depends on the volunteer coaches ability. This will ensure that all kids get a quality experience.

Games on Saturday will be on our Two Small Sided Fields:
· U4&U5 will play at 9am to 10am

· U6&U7 will play at 10am to 11am

· U8, U9, U10 will play at 9am to 10am

All kids that signed up for the Recreational Program will be allowed to attend as many sessions as they would like, but we would like to get an idea of your desired day. We will collect this information when you attend your first session. Also, we will pass out uniforms at the first practice session that you attend.
